I don’t know when the Shimmin family emigrated. On the IGI there’s a 2006 obit of Robert Coupe b 1918, son of Ada Isabella Shimmin and Cecil Ernest Coupe, which states that Ada moved to Idaho with her family from the Isle of Man.
