It is possible that the Lawrence was one of the many Presbyterians who left Northern Ireland in the 1720's destined for North America - partly this exodus was prompted by religious considerations but also the leases on land set around the mid 17th Cenury were running out and the new rents were considerably higher - it would appear that the year of birth has no fact to back it up but was based on an initial guess that has now become a 'fact'.
