Thanks for all that help. So Georgina & husband Henry did emigrate on the 'Alaska'. What a sad life Eliza/beth Archibald had - her 1st husband dead of smallpox after only 2½ years marriage, then her 1st two chn dying when still babies, then she herself dying leaving her only surviving child, Georgina, as a 2 to 3 year old. I hope Georgina went on to enjoy life once she emigrated. Again. thank you for all the help. I've now been researching for 3 years & although I'm improving all the time I still have a long way to go to really delve deep into all the available sites.
