Hope this isn't too long winded
Thanks to the recently published BMD indexes I've traced my line back to Robert Cain and Christian Fargher who married in Patrick in 1825.
I think I've picked them up in 1841 and subsequent census (see below). I'm puzzled by his change of occupation from farmer, over a 20 year plus span to that of Lead mine labourer. Have I mis identified this family ? Would the economic realities of life in the IOM be responsible for such a drastic change ? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
