i am attempting to trace my grandfather, on my fathers side, he was robert edward christian aka bobby,his younger brother was james conway christian aka mario,they were both seaman and resided in douglas, when my father and siblings were born,we believe my grandmother mona isabelle christian from ramsey was cohabiting with a man from barrow in furness whose surname we believe was conway, this i believe was my grandfather.my grandmother then married a man named dawson, who i believed for many years to be my grandfather,noww i look for the truth but meet stonewalls. can anyone help in any way thanks bob

Response to the above. Jimmy Christian was my grandfather. Didn't know about the Mario nickname, but he did like to sing so maybe that was a Mario Lanza reference.
