I visited the Island last week and wanted in particular to visit several of the houses in Cronkbourne. I located one of the property's No 40 but the other I particularly wanted to see was No. 8 but numbers 7,8 & 9 appear to be missing. At first I thought these had been demolished but checking the original maps I see there has always been a gap between what is now numbers 6 and 10. Have the houses been re-numbered or were the houses 1-9 altered/combined and the house numbers subsequently adjusted?
