I have been going round in circles again.
Poor Margaret Caine didn't have much luck with her 3 husbands. Robert Thompson was killed in an accident at Laxey Mines, John Kewley had died [ I wonder if he had joined his brothers in the navy because there doesn't appear to be any record of his burial on the island nor can I find John, Margt and Cath Mgt in 1861] then she married John Cannell who also died prematurely.

I wondered about the Goulden family - but couldn't find any link.

The Bernard Kelly connection sounds interesting - I hadn't managed to find anything like that. I'm still not great at finding my way around the UK BMD records.
Would I need to order the marriage cert for Bernard and Catherine to find out who her father was?

Cath's other illegitimate child - William Henry is interesting. It's strange that they aren't on the census for 1891. [ Although I couldn't find Cath with her mother in 1861 when Cath was a baby so maybe there was somewhere mothers and children lived if there was no husband to help out?]
