Following the death of their mother in 1906, my aunts Lilan and Ruby were, according to family legend, looked after by their mother's sisters. however, the 1911 census shows them to be resident at The Children's House, Douglas Isle-of-man. Can anyone tell me if the records, detailing date of entry and departure also the circumstances of their entering the house are available? Their brother Stanley was boarding with Thomas A. Fargher, Marlboro House, Ballure Road, Ramsey, while brother Herbert (my father) lived with his father in West Derby.
