My gr x 2 grandfather Matthias Kewley was recorded at Crogga on the 1841 census as Agricultural Labourer. And he was noted under 'farmers' in Pigot and Slater's directory for 1843 as 'steward'.
I'm interested in his life around that time - who he worked for ? Was there any family connection with the Rev Thomas Kewley [although there doesn't seem to be]?
Would the museum have a copy of the directory which would be more readable ??
