It's apparent that there's something iffy about the reference numbers because you'd expect that all the members of the family would have exactly the same reference (ie the final single digit should be identical for all family members)

So I tapped in the ref for Edward C C Foster and there's no sign of any Foster family at that ref or in the vicinity.

So why did Brian come up with this combination of refs ? A mystery !

I've searched under Foster b 1840, Foster b 1870 etc, and also just Edward b 1840 without success.
