If I assume that the William Mylrea, father of Ann, was at least 18, then the candidates I have are:
1. William Mylrea born about 1794 in Ramsey, married in 1818, may/may not be son of William Mylrea the cooper in Ramsey but living in Douglas from 1818 onwards. A cooper. I know a lot about this fellow.
2. William Mylrea born Lonan 1780 married to Ann Faragher. A publican. I know a lot about this fellow's family but not a great deal about this specific individual.
3. William Mylrea born Douglas 1781, married Jane Kewley 1808. I know a lot about this fellow's family but not a lot specifically about him.
4. William Mylrea born 1781 Michael (nothing known other than parents)
Frances - is it a reasonable assumption that because the presentment was in Braddan, the William Mylrea was resident there?
I will keep looking, Kay, but I think these are all. They were married men which could be the reason Ann's mother had to take action for support since he was not available to provide the "safety" of marriage? D
