So - John William Shimmin son of Richard Shimmin.

Is this the same line as I found in a post on this website? - Where it`s -

John William Shimmin one of the children of (William) Richard Shimmin and Mary Anne Thomson [1854-1938].They seem to have moved to Whitehaven, Cumberland and back to Malew and the Castletown area as Innkeeper`s/pub managers etc.

This (William) Richard Shimmn`s parents being - Richard Shimmin and Elizabeth Caine.

Does anyone know if this is correct?

I`m not very confident about this, the dating of John William Shimmin`s birth seems to be a little out to be the one I`m looking for.
