do you mean you are ggdau of the putative parents who would appear to be Joseph Salthouse + Ann Maxwell
there are several Salthouse family members buried in adjacent parish of Lezayre Wm Salthouse + Isabella nee Starkey who also had children in late 19th C + early 20th C - try looking at 1901 census for details as the name is not Manx (looking for Salthouse on www.imuseum.im in newspapers might help) - there would appear to be no Salthouse in 1881 IoM census but a J W Salthouse is noted as running a fancy goods shop on Prospect Hill Douglas in 1887
