I am researching Harris Terrace in Douglas [in particular no. 6---don't have access to Deeds] which was according to Stuart Slack
built about 1837. It faces a wall which was the boundary of Joyner's Estate & back is opposite the Ellan Vannin Home Estate once The
House of Industry [ a Poor House]. It is named after Samuel Harris sen. who bought land in 1825.Does anyone have additional info. about the
class/type of occupants of Georgian/early Victorian 4 storey/6 bedroom terraced houses like this. Did your family live there perhaps??
