I'm returning to an apparent dead end I've had for some time - trying to identify a direct ancestor, the Margaret Kelly who was the first wife of Richard Moore of Port St Mary. All I've got is that they married at Malew on 31st December 1842:

Marriages solemnized in the Parish Church of Malew in the year 1842
Richard Moore of the Parish of Rushen Bachelor and Margaret Kelly of this parish Spinster were married in this Church by Licence this thirty first day of December in the year One thousand eight hundred and forty two by me Wm Gill vicar.
This marriage was solemnized between us Richd Moore his X mark In presence of John Taubman his X mark,
Margt Kelly her X mark Jas Taggart PC
and that she seems to have died in 1849 : MOORE, Margaret, 26, Rushen, 4 Sep 1849, although Donna told me quite some time ago that there is no MI and no further information in the burial register.
Richard is a widower on the 1851 census with 2 young daughters. I've never even been able to find baptisms for these daughters, despite latching onto one of them as my great grandmother!
Familysearch have these baptisms from the south of the Island around a probably right time, but I really have no idea where she started out -
