I need help verifying that the William Gill (my 4th ggf) who died 13 Sep 1866 in Botetourt Co., Virginia is the same William Gill who was christened in Lezayre parish 24 Feb 1788, son of William Gill and Jane Fargher. According to the Virginia death record, William was born 1788 Isle of Man and his parents were William and Jane Gill. William came to the US in 1820. Is there some way to prove that the son of Wm and Jane Gill who was christened in Lezayre is the same William Gill who emigrated to the US? Thanks for any help. Rhonda
