Following on from reading Frances's will re Corkills, Malew, I'd like to request any info on John Corkill. Father of Robert Thomas Corkill, illeg. son of Elizabeth Lace and John Corkill.
Tom Corkill christened 1859 in Patrick.
Elizabeth Lace, his mother died aged 30 in 1867. Tom brought up by hismaternal grandmother Elizabeth Gelling, and his mother's brother, John Lace.
Elizabeth and John Lace were the illegitimate children of Thomas Lace and Elizabeth Gelling,
I know nothing of John Corkill. and little of Thomas Lace. He was aged 30 in 1841 Census, Marown.
On Tom Corkill's marriage cert he says his father was a mariner at date of Tom's wedding to Eleanor Quayle in 1886.
