Elsie Kathleen MacDonald died 25 July 1986 at Pembury Hospital, Pembury, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. The death certificate also confirms her maiden name as Faircloth (spelt on the death cert as Fairclough), and her date of birth as 19.09.1895, at Penshurst, Kent. Elsie was a retired secretary, widow of Hector MacDonald, author and retired poultry farmer. Her residence at that time was 67 Warwick Park, Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
The informant was a Margaret Betty Forbes MacDonald, Elsies Daughter in Law, usual address was BenVeg, Port-e-Vulley, Maughold, Isle of Man.

this is quite exciting news for me as Hector MacDonald was actually born as Lionel George Granville, and is my Grand Uncle. He had a little bother in WW1 and changed his name to Hector MacDonald and completed his war years with the Black Watch. I wasnt aware Hector and Elsie had any children until I came across her death cert giving her daughter in laws name. If anyone knows of the family, I would be so please to hear from them.
