I'm trying to find information about my great grandparents Andrew McDowall born abt 1848 from Scotland and Margaret Mylechraine McDowell (nee Cubbon) born abt 1848 who lived around Lonan. I believe they had 4 boys - Norman, Andrew, Malcolm and James and 4 girls - Ethel, Emily, Janet and Violet (my grandmother). I have some information from censuses but not all information on their births, marriage and deaths. I believe Andrew was involved in the Snaefell Mountain Railway and they lived somewhere near Agneash where my great aunt Eliza (Li) nee Cooper lived with her husband Joshua? Who was the butcher at the Laxey Co-operative. Any information about these members of my family or any others I have not yet discovered would be gratefully received.
