I was sent an interesting soft back book for Christmas . 'The beekeeper of Glenmay' by David Moore. It's about the Life & Times of Lancelot Quayle 1865 - 1950. It's like a diary & some photos are shown. Being myself from the south of the island I'm not familiar with all the local places mentioned during those years round Peel & Glen Maye. It's also quite funny e.g. talking about maths in school & the 'gizzintas' .- he says 'Yes, you know, two gizzinta four twice and three gizzinta six twice and so on ' It's an amusing read.
