I presume Gates is a misread Oates, not sure why it should be in Braddan tho St Georges was subordinate to Braddan but had had its own register for nearly a century by then - the month also disagrees with the submitted entry for DSG which if you have it I presume you have checked - which month is correct ? Sep or Oct?
I hope this is not a portent of more misread entries (many of which were done by volunteers who probably had little experience in reading often very scruffy 19th century hands)
