Hi - I thought the first step would be to get John's parents correctly identified (hopefully) from his marriage cert., and then we would know more about them in order to put his father in the right family in the IOM? Anthony may already have the cert., but if not it is easily ordered online.

You are probably right, but it would be good to know what information John gave about his father at his marriage.
