Irish registration of births didn't start until 1864 so there won't be a birth certificate. Most of the Irish census records were destroyed some by a bureaucratic blunder other census records were destroyed in a fire at the Four Courts in Dublin during the Irish Civil War in 1922. The battle was between pro and anti treaty factions of the IRA. Church records do exist but they can be difficult to access. Some transcripts and images are available on the Internet.
