Apologies for the vague/incorrect info. Jane Cannell is listed as bapt. 12 Aug 1815 Ramsey in the IGI under both the "IOM births and baptisms" and the "England births and christenings" records but doesn't come up in the parish register records on IGI (have not checked film, I'm afraid). And father is Thomas Cannell but mother listed only as Catherine. TC and Catherine Morrison had a slew of children in Ramsey/Maughold after their marriage and Jane fits in there (but I know one shouldn't assume based on dates alone... again some of this is gleaned from family members dabbling in this years ago and I'm finding that so much of it is wrong). She married Hugh Kneen in 1844 at Maughold. She is listed in the 1851 census as a straw bonnet maker, birthplace Ramsey, and there is a Jane Cannell listed in 1841 in Lezayre St, also as a straw bonnet maker, although the age estimate is a bit out (I am working from memory here as I am not at my home computer, so I hope this is correct). She was a few years older than her husband, based on age recorded in death notices in Australia and census records in IOM. That's about all I know.
