Greetings from California everyone,

Hoping someone might be able to help connect me to my Manx roots! Philip Tear Is my 3rd Great Grandfather. I have census and personal records that he emigrated to New Brunswick with wife Elinore, where they raised their family (incl my Great-Great Grandmother, Jane Teare Murphy). Here's what I think I know:
- A Philip Teare & an Elinore Caine were married at Braddan 18 Jan 1817
- A Philip Teare sems to have been born to a Wiliam Teare & Jane Kneale In Lezayre 25 Dec 1791. This corresponds to Philip's year of birth according to the 1851 New Brunswick census (has DOB 1792, married to Elinor)

Here's the question - I'm not sure if I have Philip's parents correct (circumstantial) and can't go back any further - despite what seems to be a large Teare family presence in Lezayre. I don't know anything about Elinore Caine and her family.

Any help appreciated! Planning a trip to Europe next year and would like to stop in (but gotta do homework first!).
