Thank you for your reply Frances. I have no hard documentation showing a Manx connection...only family stories. In records I have found, most show Canada (English) as a birth place, but I have been unable to find anything in Canadian records, so I though maybe I would try to chase down the family version. It's like she suddenly shows up as a 17 yr old girl getting married! LOL Nothing before that time in any census or records of any kind either in Canada or the US.

Maybe I will try to post what I know about her father James on the Scotland boards on Ancestry; see if anything turns up there. Thank you for trying!
