In Australia we have a National Libraries Association which has digitised copies of newspaper articles which are free on line. It only requires an input of the name of a person. However knowing that everything costs these days, I would be happy to pay a nominal amount. The problem with timed subscriptions is that sometimes personal difficulties get in the way of really making it a useful 'time', and so it is wasted. I hope it goes ahead in any form.
