Dear. Mr. Crowe,
I am sure your are quite right in what you are stating, data, that is borrowed, materials, and allowed by permission of use, could be a legal matter,to publish, but the disk holds so much, I go constantly to it for knowlege and pleasure, I am a history buff, and have thought perhaps they would be a way. It appears from the date at the MANX NOTEBOOK, they history and works of Ms. Coakley begin in 2001, which that is 11 years of ardious work, I don't see where she has received one honor on ISLE OF MAN sites anywhere, I would think by now her works are stand alone works ,for the ISLE, BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN GIVEN IN HER HONOR ON THE ISLE, here we honor our HISTORIIANS, often, perhaps I have missed this in all the years I have been coming to ISLE OF MAN NEWS, AND COMMUNITY board and BBC, I think the ISLE SHOULD HOLD,THE MUSEUM would be a wonderful place to honor her with a lovely ceremony.
If they have had such a ceremony, then I am grateful they have done such, if not, perhaps those who live on the Isle and board helpers who live on the Isle and the MUSEUM should come together for such a ceremony to honor her, and perhaps the board postees could all give her the derserved thank you's for all her works on the ceremony date, as stated she and I may not always agree, but I hold her in deep respect for her works, you must have not only have actual history, but you must know how to transcribe and present text with not just facts but added personal additions that make the works of many of her transcribed sujects and data to make it interesting, intriguing, informing, actual proven data. with backup, it is a task that is a very, very difiicult job and she certainly would have to a lover of history of the ISLE to have done such a maginitude of works.
I transcrible data. legal, and it can be a daunting job, with much responsiblity for facts, but must incude many things that have to verify the facts. So I do know somewhat of the work it takes, and you mind can get very weary, after much studying of facts. So, she must have made this her life works, for it certainly takes all your time to do such work, free time is very little when married to your works,it is an art, which many do not have in this day and age.
Kndly yours,
Mrs Rosa
