I'll attempt to answer this bit of your last message:
"My Richard Corrin was in Arbory though. I do have one strand from Rushen, William C, b 1846, who married Jane C in Rushen in 1872. They had three children, William Eden, Essaline and Eleanor. I don't know who William's father was though."
It's all quite complicated, but with the assistance of a Very Helpful Lady who found some MIs, I might have got it sorted out (but it all needs verifying). Being dependent on the awful new IGI and having no access to the old IGI is hugely frustrating (an understatement !)
Here's the potted version----- William Corrin b circa 1816 Rushen (possible parents William Corrin and Esther Costain) married Eleanor Beedon in 1842 Rus. Their son William was born in 1844 in Rus.
Wm b 1844 married his first wife, Jane Corrin (probably bap 24 Nov 1850 Arbory, parents Wm Corrin and Catherine Clague), 20 June 1872 Rus. They had 3 children, Isalen J 1873, Eleanor C 1875 and William Eden 1877/8. Then Jane died and was buried 20 March 1879.
In 1881, William b 1844 was a widower. In the BMD index there's a Dec Q 1883 marriage in Pancras, London, and of the 4 names listed, there's a William Corrin and a Catherine Corrin. I suspect that this is William b 1844 marrying his late wife's sister, Catherine Corrin bap 7 May 1854 Arbory (daughter of William Corrin and Catherine Clague). A marriage certificate would verify (or refute) this.
I'll paste below the notes I made whilst trying to uncover the correct Corrins.
