That;s great work - Sydney definately died in Devon in one of those years so one of those searches is definately him! Tom my knowledge he was born on the Island, although all my searches at the museum library have me wondering as I can't locate him. I know he was a few years older than his brother (my grandad) so maybe he was born accross? Edith Mona Dawson was Sydney's sister She married and became a Dobson. I have found out she died in 1988 in Douglas (presume it is her) so have ordered death certificate. I also found out she married in 1937 at St Georges in Douglas.
