good idea - however why use the tortuous javscript linking mechanism - plain links will do (+ also get you google ranking) - must admit I'm personally not fond of pdf (embedded or otherwise) too many exploits in pdf readers especially the adobe reader than provide easy entry for virues + trojans.
Recall that much of the hassle in transferring Brian Lawsons mini site to IoMfhs was his totally unnecssary use of javascript linkage which of course didn't work correctly for simple copies with the consequent loss of much info
