it isn't the same - for example you cannot look at all batch entries between certain dates which you need in order to look for illegitimates - basically it has been totally fouled up (much the same way that LDS turned the silk purse of a highly accurate transcription (as eg seen on the last micrfiche) of the 1911 transcription of all parish records into a sow's ear of patron submitted overwrites (usually with incorrect 'additional' information, incorrect years months etc + many total guesses)
Tho IoM is now given as a country option - all records have IoM England
neither does it seem that you can download a gedcom file (very useful to move a batch for offline search
also it is fouled up on illegitimates - I've been transcribing pre 1700 Malew records - I know from 1911 (+ the film of orig reg) that an illeg c/o Patricke Kewley + Margrett Bell - Issable bapt 18 Apr 1669 - can't find under the name she would be known by - you have to know the mother's name! which is of course that you have no idea of !
