I'm from the same family. My mother is a Scaff. This branch has been in the Pasquotank, Perquimans are since the 1600's. Lots of records of the family there. Edward and Jeremiah Scarfe came from the Isles of Man. I have seen records that they were sent to America as punishment for fighting against the English ( who had control over the Island at the time.)
