There is a bit in Dugdale/McCambridge's book "Andreas" at pp.198-200. But a more academic treatment of Manx brickmaking in the report of the Peel dig. Frank Cowin's paper on pp 226-227, but no detail of Ballacoarey.The classic reference will be The Industrial Archaeology of IOM by Garrad, Scatchard Qualtrough and Bawden.
