I am seeking information on my ancestor Sylvester (Silvester) Coyne (Quine). He lived on the Isle of Man in the 1700's and died there sometime after 1774 leaving five orphaned children whose names were William, James, Sylvester, Elizabeth and Henry. I am descended from Henry about whom I do have information. He was born on the Isle of Man in 1774, eventually went to Belfast where he married, and then emigrated to New York in 1810. Any information about Sylvester or the name Coyne vs. Quine would be greatly appreciated.
