Thanks Jim, for the information on the wills. I'm not sure how I missed those transcriptions, but there you go. I also realise that I made a ridiculous jump of logic in my earlier post, when I had concluded that one of the Margaret Joughins had perhaps remarried in 1781 - possibly the one whose husband William died in 1772, but not the one whose husband William died in 1784!

I notice in Margaret Joughin's will (1796) there is mention of the son William's children (i.e. the grandchildren of William and Margaret Joughin) but no mention of Mary (Joughin) Kneen's children - if this is the correct Mary she and John Kneen had at least 3 sons in 1796. Would this perhaps reflect the ages of the grandchildren (at the time the will was made - 1789 - the eldest of these would have been 9 yo)?
