John and Ann Radcliffe are my great great grandparentsand I have assumed that Thomas and Jane Lace were John's parents. But you know what they say - never assume and I have had no proof so what you have told me is really helpful. Where does Belfast come into the equation? I have noted that in several census returns there is the family of a William and Esther Radcliffe listed right next to John and Ann. Do you think this William could be part of the same family?
