I am searching for birth/family details of Ann Jane Quayle, my G/G G'mother. Ann married John George Kermode (Cabinet Maker) on 25 September 1886 in Kirk Braddan, Douglas; on their marriage certificate, they are both listed as being of 'full age' (Vol bra page 168a). I have not double-checked yet, but believe John George may have died at the age of 31 in 1892. They had four children, Elizabeth Ann, Ethel, Florence May (my G G'mother) and George William. Ann's father was James Quayle (Blacksmith) and at the time of her marriage they/she lived in Church Street, Douglas. In 1888 Ann Jane and John George lived at 3, Peel Road, Douglas.

I have been unable to identify a firm birth date for Ann Jane but believe she may have been born around 1864 as she is listed as being 27 years of age in the 1891 census and John George is 27. The family have generally lived in the Douglas area
