Mystery sign solved, but what about the gateposts?
Are you referring to the one that says BULGHAM on a large sign beside the track on the sea side? If so its not a tram stop in the normal way the Ballaragh "village " one is at the Hut nearer Laxey.

The other is a halt to view the dizzying sight down the very, steep cliffs to the sea. When I was travelling back from Ramsey Sunday last ,the Conductor grandly announced we were stopping to see

FOG!
That's the place Mary - Bulgham.
I couldn't understand why there was a stop in the middle of nowhere, but by the sounds of it, it's just a tram stop for the sights.
Thanks for replying.

On a secondary mystery, I did notice once before whilst walking in that general area and probably only a hundred yards away, of gateposts which immediately led to a sheer drop down the cliff face. If it was through erosion, then thats one possibility, or maybe it was just used to get rid of rubbish for whoever lived that way. Any ideas?

For those who use google maps, it's on the Ramsey A2 road and roughly near Dhoon Glen as before. Just follow the road up towards the sharp corner and from the pictures point of view, you'll see the word A2 and a white car close to it. There appears a path of sorts over the grass which continues past the rails that eventually leads towards the dark shadow of the cliff edge. If you look very carefully, you'll see two white posts (quite big if you've seen them) and look like that of what you'd see if you were travelling up someone's private entranceway. I have no idea why they are there or what purpose they are there for, but would be interested in answers or guesses.
