Hi

Can some kind soul tell me what A.M.P.B stands for. I recently obtained a Manx birth certificate and the father's occupation was listed with an army number then Private and then the letters A.M.P.B. I have looked in most of the the army records for World War 2 and can't seem to find anythnig. Is it something that is Manx and not found on the mainland?
