Help!!.
My husband is one of the three executors of the estate of the late Cyril Cannell, the inventor of the "P 50", based at "The Shipyard" Peel, over the bridge now spanning the river "Neb. ".My husband used to work for Cyril in the late 1950s and into the 1960s, Before his death Cyril asked my husband, Ernie Leece to be one of the executors of his will, at the time it seemed an honour.. Now, it is a nightmare!!!.
They (the executors) have a buyer, but the lawyers (on both sides) are disagreeing about the boundaries. We have copies of maps from 1891 onwards (the map drawn up in 1891 was drawn up by one of Cyril Cannell's ancestor's,( the first surveyor and Town Clerk of the newly-formed Peel Town Commissioners), but we need copies of maps of 1891 and 1928 specifically. We would also like to get copies of more older and more recent maps, in fact any leads which will give us access to ANY maps The buyer, is keen to buy, but is discouraged by his lawyers. My husband (and obviously me) would like to get this matter settled. Any guidance as to where to start searching would be much appreciated.
