When they give an Mi for a person will it have a grave number? if so do you have one for these graves, Lousia Quine age 18 years daughter of John and Mary Quine, May 21 1873;
Also Evan Alfred Howland 12 august 1869 , just the grave numbers please
Yes, Liz--when they give an MI it is listed by grave number. Each parish has its own system of numbering but there is a number. With the bigger yards, like Braddan, there are several sections.
The printed parish burial register, however, doesn't list the grave number.
I've often wondered if the actual parishes keep a list of burials--who is in which grave? (For those who don't have MIs)
Louisa Quine is in Braddan New Burial Ground, Section One, Block Two, grave #1219
Evan Alfred Howland is in Braddan New Burial Ground ,Section Two. grave #1222
Let me know if you need the full MIs for these.
Hope all is well with you,
Donna
