Sue, thank you for responding to me. I had also found that same information in the 1881 census. And you must be correct that Eliza was a widow then and she is the one who died in 1893, not John. I was hoping to find more on John, his parents and siblings. Also, I have not been able to confirm his death in Lakeport, Ontario. I understand that many of the Irish records at that time have been lost. Am I correct in this assumption? The James McGlennon you noted was a son of John and Eliza.
