of course it is up + down hill - the Island apart from the far north (take your own picnic) happens to have hills - it is pleasant stroll (about 1 hour walk) - since I don't know when you planning to come I can't advise on heat - generally the Island is cooler (windier + wetter) than Leicester tho if in winter will be somewhat warmer - I realise that many Americans have lost locomotor ability though in near future I suspect lack of oil might make a change here.
