Thank you for the info on Ann Corjeage - v.much appreciated. It's actually ann CANNELL's (Wm Curphey's first wife's )parents I need info on. ANN Curphey (CANNELL) died 1850 at or after birth of 10th/last child Margaret (b. Kirk Mich). (Can't find anything on Marg. She must have gone w/relatives when Ann died). Ann is buried in K. Mich but I cannot find where, headstone inscription, nothing. I was told she was buried w/family. If her parents are John Cannell and Jane Cowley, m. 14 Jan. 1804 (possibility) then she had at least 2 sibs. Christian, b. May 1, 1804 K.Mich; John Jr. b. 1 Jun 1806 K Mich; and Ann (if this is her) chr. St Matt. Dgls. 1808. I might be on the wrong track. Does anyone have info on Ann CANNELL? On marr. cert it says b. Malew but I was told she was of Micheal Cannells. Her son, James CURPHEY, b. 1847 went to Whitehaven but was left Ballakilley Clue farm by John Curphey Sr. They are buried in Michael. Is there a clue there? Does anyone know? I actually visited old K. Michael parish church and was overwhelmed by Cannell/Curpheys and billy goats chewing the grass! Other farm names I see where Wm. Curphey and Ann lived are Ballanank, Malew, Ballacharry, Mich, Ballachrink, Mich. Maybe Wm., chr. Jan 29, 1831 Malew, who went to Whitehaven was the father or gr'father of boxer Jack Curphey??? Does that hold any info?
Also, maybe another hint to track Ann CANNELL: Wm. Curphey/Ann Cannell's son JOHN Jr., b. 4 sept. 1838 - d. Sept. 4, 1913 (74) bur. in Mich. churchyard, lived at Ballaugh, Dorlish Head, Foxdale, Ballagarrow, Ballaleigh Cammel, Ballamenagh and Ballakilley Clue - all farms. He marr. Mary Ann Kermode of Patrick; children: John Thomas 1864; Wm Henry 1866; Eliz. Anne 1868; James Alfred 1870; Charles Edward 1872; Louis Phillip 1874; Margaret Jane 1875; Robert Stephen 1877; George Richard 1879; Wilfred Walter 1882; Eleanor Emily 1890; Arthur Andrew 1886 - went to Canada.... Thanks for any insight.
