Thank you for your reply, Sue. Yes, the family you found in the 1880 Census is Henry's. You'll notice that although Henry is not listed there, Ellen is listed as "married". I think she should have been listed as "widowed." I've found her listed in New York City directories from 1879, 1884, 1885, 1889, and 1891, all of which indicate she was widowed.
I haven't found any indication of when either Henry or Ellen arrived in the U.S. I've found three records of Henry: 1) an 1852 Petition for Naturalization, that lists origin as "Queen: Gr. Britain + Ireland", 2) a city directory from 1857, and 3) the 1860 Census, which shows origin of England. However, in future census that list his children (like the 1880 one) it indicates that their father was born in Ireland.
As to where I got William Henry- I found a record of the marriage of Henry and Ellen's son, William Francis, on familysearch.org. There, it listed the parents of the bride and groom, and it said William Henry Corlett.
