I looked further into the WW1 record of Herbert and discovered that he married Jane Kissack, spinster, on 11th June 1919 at Braddan.
I don't know if there's any connection to Harold Sayle Kermeen b 1821. Or the person who put the tree on Ancestry might have guessed the name of HSK's mother based on his middle name.
It does seem fairly likely that this Herbert Kermeen is the right person to be Uncle Umby because he was a motor driver throughout WW1, which must have been an unusual occupation at that time. Although I daresay that there were plenty of drivers around by 1941.
