I don't know if this is your Lily Esther Caine, but I found this Lily Caine, below, listed in the 1901 Lancaster, Lancashire census on the LDS labs site. The census has her place of birth as Barrow In Furness. I don't have access to UK census records, but maybe someone on the board who has access to the 1901 census could check to see if she is listed in the family of a William H. and Emily Caine.
