That is interesting about the yards. I must admit I was amazed how poorly maintained the old yard of Malew was - Complete holes in some graves (you had visions of the ghosts arising), broken & fallen over stones & several on the cross four ways side were just covered with compost. The grass was also very high in one area. We regularly visit the graveyard here in our town in Sweden & now the council have already planted their yearly pansies on EVERY grave. In the summer the summer bedding plants are again planted on EVERY grave - the pathways are kept very well . Water is available in several places & conical containers for pushing into the earth are available. One part is a small forest & the natural stones are used to engrave the obituary.
