In the information about Queen St I found a short article about a man who drove the van over the harbour & the child was drowned. As a child my mum told me this story but she said it was a type of taxi rather than a van. EVERY, & I mean every time we walked past Malew churchyard we always went to visit little Rene's grave as she has a statue of a child on it.The white statue made the accident seem sadder, I still go down to her grave whenever I'm home on the Island. Rene herself would be in the 95 - 100 age range now .
